Under 16’s in Season 2019-20 and Beyond…

After a successful response in welcoming Under 16 athletes to Region and State events during the 2018-19 Little Athletics season, the Little Athletics Victoria Board of Directors has made the decision to expand these events to athletes in this age group moving forward.

Under 16 athletes were eligible to compete in Region Carnivals and State Championships for the 2018-19 only, off the back of decisions taken as part of the age group change that came into effect this season.

Season 2018-19 saw a great response from Under 16 athletes with seventy-nine Region Relay teams, forty-five Combined Events athletes and almost half of all registered athletes taking part in the Region Track and Field Carnivals.

Little Athletics Victoria look forward to being able to offer these athletes the full Little Athletics experience moving forward.
