TODAY (2/11/19) is the final day for athletes to register to participate in Relays.

U9-16 athletes can represent Essendon in the upcoming Region & State Relay Events.

The Region Relays are being held at Diamond Valley’s track (Willinda Park, Greensborough) on Saturday 23rd November and the State Relay Championships are on Saturday 14th December at Casey Fields.

Relays are the only “TEAM” event of the Track & Field season and are great fun. Athletes must be available to compete at Region as well as the State Championships if their teams progress.

Available events are 4×100m, 4×200m and Medley (2×100, 1×200, 1×400m). There are also Mixed sex 4×100m and 4×200m with 2 girls & 2 boys running in the Team.

Training is being held weekly on:

Monday nights for U12-16 between 5:30 to 6:15

Wednesday nights for U9-11 between 5:30 to 6:15
